GRAVEL MINING BENCHES: Cascade Lake Park - Rochester, Minnesota

A former gravel mine was redeveloped into a creative and popular community park. The two art benches reflect the park's gravel mining history. One bench is shaped like the tail gate of a dump truck and the other a front end loader bucket. The bench bases are gravel and steel mesh gabions typically used as retaining walls and stream restoration measures.
